Gloom is governed by an entity from beyond our realm. While the true nature of this being remains unknown, its intoxicating spell has already claimed countless souls across the galaxy. It is widely suspected that the Entity’s ultimate motivation is nothing less than a total invasion of our reality.

Players will recognize the classic, haunting archetypes within this deck: the undead, dark conjurations, hypnosis, the occult, and the sewing of false memories. The Gloom Counter acts as a literal curse on player assets. Once three Gloom Counters are placed on a card, that asset is sacrificed to the Entity - erased from the board and sent to the Landfill. 

Praise the Cube

Those who entertain the power of Gloom are inevitably corrupted by it. Vantapriest is a mysterious leader dedicated to pulling the Entity back from the Void. His agents are scattered across the stars, and based on his abilities, he is unafraid to sacrifice his own units in service of his "Cube Lord."

Vantapriest excels when players lose Life, granting him the dark privilege of placing a Gloom Counter wherever he sees fit. Use this strategically - if you’re too aggressive with your curses, your opponents might just team up to nuke you out of existence! Vassals and Conjurations

The Gloom deck utilizes Vassals - specialized servants that exist only to carry out the Entity's will.

Gloomknight Reanimator: One of our favorite cards, the Reanimator cycles units directly into the Landfill. If any of those units are Vassals, you may deploy them for free, creating an endless loop of spectral service.

Fleshtaker: An awesome addition to any siphoning strategy; whenever you gain 1 Life, your opponents lose 1 Life.

Clever Gloom players use these mechanics to manipulate the playing field, maximizing siphoning abilities to stay healthy while their enemies slowly wither away.
